Terms of Use
These terms apply when you use the Shipcue app and its service.
Draft. These terms are a working draft pending legal review and will be finalised before Shipcue is released. Items marked [TBD] are still to be filled in. Last updated: .
Shipcue is provided by AppLabs [TBD: legal form, registration number, registered address], Latvia, European Union (“we”). By using Shipcue you agree to these terms. Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; if the two conflict, [TBD: lawyer to decide precedence].
1. What Shipcue does
Shipcue shows the App Store review status of apps in the App Store Connect accounts you connect, sends notifications when the status changes, and lets you release, withdraw or schedule releases of approved versions.
Shipcue is not made by, affiliated with, or endorsed by Apple Inc. App Store, App Store Connect, Apple, iPhone and iPad are trademarks of Apple Inc.
2. Your API keys
- You connect an account by importing an App Store Connect API key you created. You must be allowed to use that key and the apps it gives access to.
- Keys stay on your devices (your Keychain, synced through iCloud Keychain unless you choose “This device only”). You are responsible for keeping your devices and your Apple Account secure.
- Use a key with the least access you need. If a device is lost or a key may be exposed, revoke the key in App Store Connect right away. This is the only step that stops the key from working with Apple.
- Your use of App Store Connect stays subject to Apple’s terms.
3. Releases and auto-release: your responsibility
- Releasing or withdrawing a version is your decision. Shipcue asks you to confirm these actions and uses Face ID where set up. Releases cannot be undone.
- Auto-release and notifications are best effort. They depend on Apple’s services, push delivery, your device (for example it must have been unlocked since it restarted and be able to reach the internet), your key’s permissions and our server. Shipcue may release late, fail to release, or fail to notify you.
- We are not liable for missed, late, duplicate or unintended releases or withdrawals, or for missed notifications, except where the law does not allow this limitation (see section 8). Check App Store Connect when timing matters.
4. Subscription
- Shipcue Pro is an auto-renewing subscription: $3.99 per month or $29.99 per year (US prices; prices in other countries are shown in the app and set through Apple).
- Both plans start with a 14-day free trial, once per Apple Account. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and Apple charges you.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account. The subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in iOS Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s rules.
- Without an active subscription (before a trial, or after a trial or subscription ends), Shipcue is read-only: you can see status and refresh it, but you do not get push notifications, actions or auto-release. Scheduled auto-releases are cancelled when Pro ends and nothing is released. We keep your webhooks at Apple for 30 days after Pro ends, then remove them.
- Family Sharing is not available.
- Deleting your Shipcue data does not cancel your subscription.
5. Acceptable use
Do not:
- use Shipcue with accounts, keys or apps you are not allowed to use;
- try to access other users’ data, attack, overload or reverse engineer our server, or get around the subscription;
- use Shipcue to break the law or Apple’s terms.
We may suspend access to our server for abuse or to protect the service and other users.
6. Availability and changes
We may change, pause or stop features or the service. We will try to give notice in the app for significant changes. Apple may change App Store Connect in ways that break Shipcue features; we will try to adapt but cannot promise to.
7. Privacy
How we handle data is described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Liability
- Shipcue is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties beyond those the law requires.
- To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost revenue, lost data, or loss caused by Apple’s services, push delivery, your device, your keys, or actions you confirmed or scheduled.
- To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Shipcue in the 12 months before the claim.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or your rights as a consumer under mandatory law. [TBD: lawyer to confirm for Latvia/EU consumers]
9. Ending
You can stop using Shipcue at any time and delete your data in the app. We may end these terms if you seriously break them.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia. Courts of Latvia have jurisdiction, without removing any mandatory protection you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live. [TBD: lawyer to confirm]
11. Changes to these terms
When we change these terms we update the date at the top and tell you in the app about significant changes before they take effect.
